It also finds application in catalysis, electroplating, photography, platinum mirrors, printing for etching of zinc, producing fine color in glass and porcelain, indelible ink and microscopy. It is a precursor for the preparation of other platinum catalysts. In addition to this, it is also used as an analytical reagent.
